In concentrated sulfuric acid, nitric acid, hydrochloric acid, even boiling in aqua regia, its weight and properties do not change, almost insoluble in all solvents, only slightly soluble in all-alkanes above 300 ℃ (about 0.1g/100g). PTFE does not absorb moisture, non-combustible, stable to oxygen, ultraviolet light, so it has excellent weather resistance. In a wide range of frequencies, PTFE's electrical properties dielectric constant and dielectric loss are very low, breakdown voltage, volume resistivity and arc resistance are very high. PTFE (104 rad) has poor radiation resistance, high energy radiation degrades it, and the electrical and mechanical properties of the polymer are significantly reduced.
